Membership

We are a family of faith, united by trust in God Jesus Christ.  We warmly welcome all who accept the incarnation of God in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  One becomes an active member of the church through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and acceptance of his Lordship in all of life.  However, our worship and church activities are provided for members and non-members alike.  The first step to membership is to contact our Pastor.  This can be done direct or by email at secretary@firstpresbelen.org.

Fellowship

Fellowship is an important part of building relationships with one another.  Fellowship events provide a forum for friendship, understanding and communication which can enhance you and your family as well as the life of the church.  Our members are encouraged to attend and INVITE family, friends, and visitors to do the same.  Fellowship activities include:

   Church Potlucks: Normally conducted the last Sunday of each month that has 5 Sundays as well as special events publicized in the Church Calendar.

   Coffee Hour: We have a Coffee/Fellowship Hour following Sunday services.

   Parish Teams: Parish Teams are one tool used by the church to maintain communications with church members and friends.  Parish Teams dentify members in need and communicate the need to the church leadership.  Team members also conduct home and hospital visitation as needed.  Parish Teams also help identify prayer needs and operate a phone tree when we need to spread the word fast.  Want to be a member of a Parish Team, please email us at secretary@firstpresbelen.org

   Men's Breakfasts: The breakfasts provides a social hour to promote fellowship in an informal setting.  Breakfast’s are held the third Sunday of each month at 7:45 AM.

   Mariners: Los Pescadores Mariners are a group of couples and singles who have been part of our church for almost 40 years. The group meets at the church the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM. The meeting includes a devotional, pot luck dinner, and a special program. Mariners also contribute to a variety of church and community projects such as the Food Bank of Belen, Domestic Violence Program, St. Nicholas Project, and Menaul School.
